AI Training Boosts Productivity of SDIT Top Kids Teachers in the Digital Era

15 January 2026

The development of digital technology, especially artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence/AI), is increasingly opening up new opportunities in the world of education. However, the utilization of this technology has not been fully optimized by teachers, especially at the basic education level. Addressing this challenge, the Informatics Engineering Student Association (HMIF) of Telkom University Purwokerto held a Community Service activity titled “Training on Developing AI Utilization-Based Learning to Increase Teacher Productivity in the Digital Era” at SDIT Top Kids, Sokaraja.

This activity, held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, featured two speakers, namely Affan Hilmy Natsir, S.Kom., M.Eng. and Dany Candra Febrianto, S.Kom., M.Eng., who are lecturers in the Bachelor of Informatics Study Program at Telkom University Purwokerto. Both provided material and direct assistance related to the utilization of AI-based technology in supporting teacher productivity and developing more effective learning.

The training was enthusiastically attended by the teachers of SDIT Top Kids. The activity was designed in the form of material presentation, hands-on practical workshops, and interactive discussions covering the use of AI-based applications and platforms for lesson planning, creating digital teaching media, and managing teacher tasks more efficiently. Through this approach, participants gained not only conceptual understanding but also practical skills that can be directly applied in teaching and learning activities.

During the workshop session, teachers were invited to try various AI-based applications that can help compile interactive teaching materials, enhance learning creativity, and save time in the teaching preparation process. The discussion was active, with participants sharing experiences and challenges in utilizing technology in the classroom. The interactive training atmosphere encouraged teachers to be more confident in trying and implementing AI technology wisely.

Evaluation results show that this activity provided a positive impact. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test of 19 participants, there was an average increase in understanding of 27%. In addition, teachers showed improved ability to operate AI-based learning applications and design more engaging and efficient teaching media. Participants also stated that the material provided was relevant to current learning needs and supported the increase in teacher productivity.

Through this activity, Telkom University Purwokerto, through HMIF and supervising lecturers, demonstrated a commitment to supporting technology-based educational transformation. SDIT Top Kids welcomed this activity and hopes that collaboration with Telkom University Purwokerto can continue. This training is expected to be the initial step in building a learning ecosystem that is adaptive to the development of digital technology, especially the utilization of AI in education.
