Hello, Informatics Pals! On December 13, 2025, Telkom University Purwokerto once again held a graduation ceremony for its students. This moment became even more special because one of the best graduates from the Bachelor of Informatics Study Program was announced, namely Triana Umi Ma’rifah, who successfully achieved the Outstanding Student Award in Student Affairs.
The journey to becoming an outstanding student certainly does not happen instantly. Behind this achievement lies consistency, meticulous time management, and the courage to try various opportunities. During her studies, Triana showed a strong commitment to developing herself not only in academics but also in competitions, innovative works, and contributions to national program funding activities.
From the academic side, Triana successfully maintained her study performance with a GPA of 3.92 and earned TAK 157. This achievement proves that organizational activities, competitions, and self-development projects can still run alongside solid academic results.
Not only that, Triana’s achievements are also evident from a series of accomplishments at the national level. In 2024, Triana won 2nd Place in the National IT Convert Competition. The previous year, she successfully brought home 1st Place in the National Public Administration Competition 2023. These achievements demonstrate Triana’s ability to adapt and compete in various fields, while consistently maintaining performance quality.
In the realm of work and innovation, Triana also contributed through officially registered works. She is listed as Author 1 (Advertising Film) registered under IPR for the work “Lanafa Temani” in 2024. This achievement confirms that creative works also hold academic value and can be an important part of an Informatics student’s portfolio.
On the same occasion, Triana was also involved in national-scale development and funding programs. In 2024, she received PPK Ormawa IPTEK Funding from PPK Ormawa Kemendikbud at the national level, and also obtained P2MW “Lanafa Temani” Funding from P2MW Kemendikbud at the national level. This experience strengthens Triana’s ability to design programs, formulate strategies, and execute activity targets measurably.
Triana’s contribution in the academic field is also proven through scientific publication. She is listed as Author 3 in a SINTA 3 indexed journal in the Indonesian Journal of Education and Technology (JPTI) with the title: “Optimization of Banyumas Waste Management through Design Thinking-Based Mobile UI/UX Design.” Through this publication, Triana shows that UI/UX design is not just aesthetics, but can be a relevant solution for community needs.
Concluding her list of achievements, Triana was also included as a Top 5 Finalist in the National UI/UX Design Competition in 2024. This confirms that Triana’s design and problem-solving abilities have been tested at a competitive level.
